It is really hot here making for a perfect weekend to create inside in the air conditioning. The Arkansas Arts Center in studio 6 had their air on high so we stayed nice and cool while working hard. This was a happy workshop but also a sad workshop since we were the last polymer clay class to be held in studio 6 in the "old" Arts Center School. The next classes will be located in the temporary school while the Arts Center is being re-designed. I really felt privileged to be one of the last workshops. Students created a stash of wonderful canes, made a small bowl with one of their canes and then combined several canes to make one larger cane. I felt they learned a great deal about caning they can take with them and practice. I did take some pictures during their progress which is in this slide show. Thank you Arkansas Arts Center for allowing me to teach this creative medium and spread the word about it. Thanks to a great group of women for taking the class. Yall were fun for sure! http://marlenegremillion.blogspot.com/
